June 1st starts the 2024 Greenbacks and Buckles Series of sporting clays events. All Registered targets broken between June and December 2024 count as one point (12 gauge, Sub Gauge and Reshoots count) in this Race. At the end of December the LSCA will give the Class and Concurrent highest point count winners a choice of cash or a beautiful trophy buckle. Our official statistical wizard (Scott Doucet) will keep track of the points for the LSCA. The purpose of this Race is to reward the members that had the most fun breaking targets. So come early and shoot late and enjoy the Registered shoots.
Promotiomal Material about this fun series of shoots is at all Clubs.

LSCA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE UPDATE
The Clubs have been successful in converting most Hunter Class shooters to NSCA members using the Complimentary Limited Membership (CLM) forms printed on LSCA flyers. Now, the NSCA has an on line CLM application that new members can fill out before the shoot. This new procedure will make signing up new members easier and speed up the new member process. See https://NSCA.NSSA-NSCA.ORG

NEW SPORTING CLAYS RULE CHANGES
See the NSCA website for the full explanation of the new rules. But basically, the NSCA is requiring three person squads, shoot in rotation order, establishing a Pro Class, eliminating the E Class, etc.
Please help the Clubs implement the three person rule change. I think the biggest help you can render is to pre register on Scorechaser. Pre registration will help the Club form three person squads.

SAFETY TIPS
Always point the shotgun in a safe direction (away from people).
Always keep you finger off the trigger (until you are ready to shoot).
Always keep you shotgun unloaded (until you are ready to shoot).
Safety is everyone's responsibility -- If you see an unsafe act -- Say something positive to correct the situation!-
Summer is upon us. Don't forget hydrate.
Have a good time breaking clays in May.
